After writing lots of letters (and checks), fedexing, checking adoption lis serves, we finally completed our dossier and then received our I171H in May.
The last week of May we received our approval. On June 14th, Sonya called with a referral on Yohely (yo Ely, yo Ely).
He was born on May 28, 2007. He was 7lbs and initial MD visit has him healthy. Ely and I discussed the referral during a nice dinner at the Burntside Lodge.
Didnt take much discussion. Yohely is now waiting to go home with us.
06/21-received our first baby present from Linnea Renner. A super soft, blue blanket. Its darling.
06/22-I received a call from Ashley at the agency-we received approval to get DNA testing done. This means that once the testing is done of Mom and Baby (and it matches), then Ely and I can go visit our son. The average wait time for results seems to be around 10 days.
it seems as though the process is Guatemala is starting to speed up to pre-Bush visit times (about 6 months).
